Burnham Barrier

The Burnham Barrier is an island in Northeast and Southeast Washington, D.C. which separates the Anacostia River from Kingman Lake. The island is traversed by Benning Road and East Capitol Street. North of the Benning Road Bridge on Burnham Barrier lies the Langston Golf Course. A nature center is currently being built on the southern part of the island.
