1959 College World Series

The by|1959 NCAA Men's Division I College World Series (CWS) involved 8 schools playing in double-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college baseball. It began on June 12, and ended with the championship game on June 18. A total of 15 games were played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.

The tournament field consisted of 22 teams, 10 automatic berths and 12 at-large selections. The 22 teams competed in 8 districts, each sending their winner to the CWS.

Oklahoma State University won the national championship with a 5-3 victory over the University of Arizona in front of 4,168 fans.

* In 1996, coach Rod Dedeaux of USC was named to the College World Series All-Time Team (1947-95) by the Oklahoma World-Herald as part of the 50th CWS celebration.
* In 1971, Ron Fairly (OF) of USC was named to the College World Series All-Time Team (1947-70) by the blue-ribbon committee chaired by Abe Chanin as part of the 25th CWS celebration.
* In 1996, Alan Hall (C) of Arizona and Charles Shoemaker (SS) of Arizona were named to the 1940s-50s All-Decade Team by a panel of 60 voters representing CWS head coaches, media, and chairs of the Division I Baseball Committee.
* Fresno State's team included Augie Garrido, who went on to win five CWS titles as a coach at Cal State-Fullerton and Texas.
* Dave Baldwin of Arizona pitched a two-hitter in a 5-1 victory over Fresno State.
* 33,607 fans watched the CWS (10 sessions).
* The championship game was umpired by Bob Stewart, Jack Tobin, Don Carrothers, and Ed Sudol.
