- John James Burnet
Sir John James Burnet (1857 - 1938) , son of the architect John Burnet, was born in
Glasgow ,Scotland . He trained in his father’s architectural offices and in theEcole des Beaux-Arts inParis , thereafter joining his father as a partner. Like his father, he commissioned extensive sculptural works for his building, including work from Mossman. Burnet was knighted in 1914.Among his surviving work are:
