Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The San Miguel Beermen won the All-Filipino championship over Coney Island and represented the country in the 1994 Asian Games. However, after injuries to its key players, amateur standouts like Marlou Aquino and Kenneth Duremdes were allowed to join the RP-San Miguel team. In the Commissioner's Cup, the Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs (renamed from Coney Island) won the championship over Alaska Milkmen, marking Chot Reyes' second PBA crown with the team. Later on, its stalwarts Alvin Patrimonio, Jerry Codinera and rookie Rey Evangelista also joined the RP team along with Johnny Abarrientos. The RP-San Miguel team only salvaged fourth place in the Asiad tournament behind China, South Korea and Japan. In the Governor's Cup, Alaska won the title over Swift Mighty Meaties with resident import Sean Chambers leading the team.Champions
