Aberthaw ( _cy. Aberddawan) is a
village of theVale of Glamorgan west of Barry on the coast ofSouth Wales .The village is split into two halves - East and West Aberthaw, separated by the
River Thaw . It is home toAberthaw Cement Works andAberthaw Power Station a coal power station plant that was linked to theSouth Wales Valleys via railway in nearbyFontegary . Originally a station on the Barry Railway, and a junction for its connection to the
