"Paraharmochirus" is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). The single described species "Harmochirus monstrosus" is only found on New Guinea.

Name

The genus name is a combination of Ancient Greek "para" "alongside" and the salticid genus "Harmochirus".
