"Parafluda" is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). Its only described species, "Parafluda banksi", is found from Panama to Argentina.

Name

The genus name is combined from Greek "para" "alongside" and the salticid genus "Fluda" (see also "Pseudofluda"). The species is named in honor of arachnologist Nathan Banks.
