Urun Islampur is a city and a municipal council in Sangli district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Uran Islampur had a population of 58,330. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Uran Islampur has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 69%. In Uran Islampur, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The other major industries are Rajarambapu Doodh Sangh, Rajarambapu Solvex, Rajaram Sugar Factory etc accompanied by many small scale industries. The great attraction of the city is the Great Ram Temple beside the Sugar Factory. You have many top tourist places from Islampur like Sagareshwar Abhayaranya, Nrisinhpur, Audumbar etc. City provides all around public facilities in terms of Education in both Engineering and Medical faculty, Mobile Services, Shopping Malls, gardens, Theatres, Hospitals, Showrooms, Online Banking, Quality School Education etc...
