Tirora is a city and a municipal council in Gondiya district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Tirora had a population of 22,527. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Tirora has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83%, and female literacy is 67%. In Tirora, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

There is a CBSE Based Primary School naming ASIM SARAF CENTRAL ACADEMY, situated at Vidharbha Sabhagruha. The School has purchased a Land near proposed Sports Complex for construction of New School Building. The School is managed by renound Shri Asim Saraf Memorial Sanstha of Tumsar. The School is run in memory of Late Shri Asim D. Saraf who was a Gold Medalist in B. Com & M. Com and a Chartered Accountant.
