Savarkundla is a city and a municipality in Amreli district in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Savarkundla is a twin city. The two cites SAVAR and KUNDLA are merged and now in days it is a single city. River Navali is main attraction as it flows (during monsoon only) south to north.Some information are as bellow:Population: 135,000Area : 36km²literacy : 70%Savarkundla is municipality in Amreli district in the Indian state of Gujarat.

DemographicsAs of 2001 India censusIndia, Savarkundla had a population of 73,695. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Savarkundla has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 58%. In Savarkundla, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. In SavarKundla the V.D.Kannkia Arts and M.R.Sanghavi Commerce college has got 4 star from NAAC being the best college in Suarashtra University. The college is also known for producing bright students coming from rural areas. The aluminas of the college could be found on various higher positions.

Savarkundla is a major spot for weighing scales, it is the largest manufacturer of the weighing scales in India. Now a days it is emerging as assembling hub of electoronics weighing scales.
