Samalkha is a town/tehsil and a municipal committee in Panipat district in the Indian state of Haryana. Samalkha is known for its Iron Industries Toka(fodder cutting machines), Nut-bolts, Saria, Bathroom fitting manufacturing plants etc) and its big Anaj Mandi (Grain Market)and wood market which acts as a common market for all the farmers from nearby villages and trades agricultural produces from western uttar pradesh town Chapproli across river yamuna 8 km away.The Deputy Commissioner(DC) of Panipat district is Mr. Mohinder Kumar.
