temperature=1826 Miller (provisional designation mp|1955 RC|1) is an
asteroid which was discovered atGoethe Link Observatory nearBrooklyn, Indiana by theIndiana Asteroid Program . It was discovered on14 September 1955 , but was later discovered to be the same object as "1929 RV", "1940 WF", "mp|1950 TD|2" and "mp|1952 BL|1", all seen prior to the official discovery.(1826) Miller is an outer main belt asteroid of about 24 km diameter. Variations in the light reflected from the asteroid suggest a rotation period of about 6 hours 46 minutes, but this is subject to a reasonably high degree of uncertainty [http://www.ipa.nw.ru/cgi-bin/partaben.cgi?ast_list=1826&list_button=OK] .
The asteroid was involved in the occultation of a 10th magnitude star in the constellation Cancer in April 2004. [http://www.netstevepr.com/Asteroids/archive/2004/2004_04/0411_1826_2501_Summary.txt]
