Jubbal is a town and a nagar panchayat in Shimla district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

Geography

Jubbal, located at coord|31.12|N|77.67|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/11/Jubbal.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Jubbal] ] has an average elevation of 1901 metres (6236 feet).A small beautiful hill town, it is famous for its apple orchards and the Jubbal Palace.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Jubbal had a population of 1346. Males constitute 59% of the population and females 41%. Jubbal has an average literacy rate of 82%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 80%. In Jubbal, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
