It is located in the outskirts of
Greater Noida , [ [http://www.greaternoida.com/ Greater Noida] ] the district headquarters are located in NOIDA itself. It is about 60 km (35 miles) away from Noida, and one can come via Dankaur, Rabupura. An eight-lane Taj Expressway from Greater Noida toAgra via Jewar, Taj Special Economic Zone, and Taj International Airport is proposed and expected to come soon.Jewar is situated a few kilometers northeast from the bank of the Yamuna River. In the west is
Haryana state. Jewar itself is a "Tehsil ", and well connected to many "tehsil s" and districts by road namelyKhurja ,Sikandrabad , Bulandshahr,Khair ,Aligarh andPalwal (District -Faridabad inHaryana ).Delhi is about 92 km 58 miles) from there and one can go via Faridabad, Palwal or viaGhaziabad ,Sikandrabad ,Jhajhar . Currently the MLA is Horam Singh (BSP ) and MP is Ashok Pradhan (BJP ). Thousands of people visit Jewar daily for different purposes e.g. market, education, medical services etc. Jewar is also famous for Ghewar / Ghevar a traditional north Indian sweet available here in the monsoon season. The classes has been commenced in April 2008.
