As the literacy rate has been high the village has always produced many well known personalities in almost every field, be it at village level, state level, national or even International level. Jandiala has produced more than 70 freedom fighters/ Gadri Babas, who selflessly struggled for the independence of the motherland India. Jandiala is considered among the pioneer villages of Punjab from where early migration to the western world (As early as 1895) took place. Almost every house in Jandiala has a family member living overseas. As per rough estimate more than 12000 First and Second Generation NRIs have their roots in Jandiala.There are many houses which are closed since many years as all the family members have migrated to overseas countries. The famous places are Jhandiaan Wala Chownk, Khangah, Gurdwara Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Gurdwara Baba Bhumia ji, Gurdwara Baba Sidh,Baba Marh etc.The village is also famous for the annual fair of Chownkian, which normally takes place on 26th/27th Feb every year.
Jandiala is the only village in the Jalandhar district to have a Government College.There are many educational institutes in the village from primary to graduation degree level.An NGO - Jandiala Lok Bhilai Manch is being run by prominent residents of the village to help the village move further.
