Jaitaran is a city and a municipality in Pali district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Geography

Jaitaran is located at coord|26.2|N|73.94|E|. It has an average elevation of 307 metres (1007 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Jaitaran had a population of 19,325. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Jaitaran has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 43%. In Jaitaran, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
