Cambridge School Noida is a senior secondary school located in sector-27, NOIDA. It was established in 1981 as a branch of Cambridge School founded by A C Deb, currently based in Srinivaspuri. It is one of the most reputed schools in the National Capital RegionFact|date=August 2008 and has more than 2500 students and 150 teachers on its rolls. The school is affiliated to CBSE. Its current Principal is Mr. AK Bakshi. The School was initially established in India with the help of University of Cambridge.

History

Cambridge School first came into existence on April 7, 1931. With the hard work and selfless devotion of the founder, the late Shri A.C. Deb., the school flourished and took the shape of a full-fledged residential high school affiliated to the syndicate of the University of Cambridge.

Cambridge School. Noida, which took off in a modest way on July 15, 1981, has come a long way since its inception.

Today there are in all 8 Cambridge schools as given under. Four of these schools are in Delhi and one each in Noida, Greater Noida and Indirapuram.

All the schools are administered by the "Society for the Advancement of Education" .

The Society is governed by a Board of Governors. Gen Shankar Roy Chowdhury, the former Chief Of the Army Staff and member of the Rajya Sabha, is the president and Dr. Kalyani Roy is the Secretary.

The SAE has also set up schools at Indirapuram (Ghaziabad) and Greater Noida.

Academics

The school has been witnessing good results with many students getting admissions in premier institutions such as IIT. The school is well equipped with a large auditorium, two computer labs, Multimedia rooms, TV and computers till class VIII, good practical labs, Medical room, meal planning room, dance room, music room, Edusat room and many others to make this school well reputed in Noida. It offers Commerce, Science (medical and non-medical) and humanities in 11th class. The school’s timing is from 8:00 am to 1:50 pm. Schedule has a total of 9 periods. Each class till VIII is has a computer and a TV mounted to provide necessary multimedia knowledge to students. There are multimedia labs to impart knowledge to senior students more efficiently.

The Wings

CSN is a Senior Secondary School with a separate Senior and Junior Wing. The Senior Wing houses Classes VI to XII and is constructed on approximately 7 acres of land. The Junior Wing comprises of classes Nursery to V and is spread over 4 acres of land. The total strength of the CSN is 2500 students and around 150 staff members.

CSN in keeping its objectives has excellent infrastructural facilities including a fully equipped Library and Reading room, three separate Laboratories for physics, Chemistry and Biology, a Science Museum and General Science Laboratory, Math's Lab, Social Science Room, a Resource Centre, Computer and Multimedia Laboratory, an Audio visual room, Dance and Music room, Art and Sculpture room and a Meal Planning, Photography room. There is a well-equipped Medical room and a separate administrative block.

The school has a brand new Auditorium with capacity and Seat 1400 people, a projection room, excellent audio-visual facilities. A well equipped Canteen to serve students nourishing snacks is housed in the premises of the school.

The House System forms the basis of all competitions in the school and helps to foster a spirit of co-operation, team spirit, loyalty and healthy competition.

I.The school also has N.C.C for students.'Eureka' (Junior) and 'Jigyasa '(Senior) are the 2 science clubs that foster the spirit of enquiry and a scientific temper.An Interact Club has been formed under the aegis of Rotary International for the promotion of leadership qualities, social service and better International understanding.

National Talent Search Examination NISE 2005Three of our students cleared the state level NISE 2005• Achynt Sangey X-A • Ramya Balaji X-A • Saurabh Pandit X-B Helpage IndiaQuiz On 19th April 2005, Achyuth Sanjay of Class X-A, Ankit Aggarwal X-B and Abhiram XII-A, won the Inter- City Helpage India Quiz, Group A. they represented the school at the regional level and were declared Runners up. DECLAMATIONOn 15th July 2005, an INTER SCHOOL DECLAMATION CONTEST was held at Cambridge School, Srinivaspuri. Saurabh Sen Sharma of class XII-C was declared the best speaker in the Senior group. HORLICKS WIZKIDS 200570 children participated in various competitions like Painting, Sketching, Quizzing, Greeting Card Making, Fancy Dress Competition etc. organized by ‘ Horlicks’ at the Inter-School level. INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION- DELIBERATIONAmity International School, Noida organized a Debate Competition on 27th October 2005. CYBER OLYMPIAD 20045th National Cyber Olympiad was conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation in our School in which 401 students from class 3rd to 12th participated.Mrinal Mohit of Class VII secured 1st rank in the city ,1st in the rank at the State level and 13th in the National Level.Kritikar Kashyap of Class IX secured 11th rank at the State level.A Srikanth of Class IX secured 12th rank at the State level.Vibhuti Awasthi of Class X secured 7th rank at the State level and 68th at All India Level.Karan Khanna of Class XI secured 1st rank at the city level, 3rd rank at the State Rank and 25th rank at the National level.Aniket Bera of Class XI secured 2nd rank at the city level, 4th rank at the State Rank and 56th rank at the National level.

2006-2007

Interschool Solo Dance Competition "ARAGYA"The competition was held at Vishwa Bharti Public School Noida. Our student Neha Poruhit of class IX presented a wonderful Kathak performance under the guidance of Mr. Kadkade our dance teacher. She received the second prize.

Interschool Festival ReverberationsThe competitions were held at Bal Bharti Public School , Noida. Our school participated in various activities and at various levels - Senior and Junior. The students Navya (VIII B) , Mridul (VII A) and Achint (VI B) received Ist prize in the Maths Lab activity.

2005-2006

RHYTHMSThe students of C.S.N participated in RHYTHMS held at Sommerville School, Noida on 10th November 2005. The following are the results: -

HELPAGE INDIA QUIZOn 10th August 2005 Ankit Aggarwal (X), Achyuth Sanjay(X) and Abhiram(XII), escorted by Ms.Banik, represented the school in the zonal round of the quiz at Jaipur. They were declared the runners-up.

*CSN organized a teacher Empowerment Programme designed by WATIS (Wipro Applying Thought in Schools) in the school premises for during Dec 2001-May 2002. 35 teachers from various Cambridge School branches attended the course.

Mohit Sharma, a class XII of Cambridge School, Noida is a brilliant cricketer. Recently he got an opportunity to represent his club - Delhi Blues Cricket Club, in England. He displayed exceptional talent in eight matches thta he played against English Cricket Clubs - Christchurch club and Kimberley Club. He has bagged a contract with the Yorkshire Academy club of UK.

*Mohit Sharma of class XII A was selected for under 17 Boys UP State Cricket Team camp for the Vijay Merchant Trophy Cricket Tournament.
*Inter School Cricket Tournament was organized by Dist. G.B. Nagar at Cambridge School Noida for under age 15 boys Group. Our teams reached the Semi Final.
*School Cricket Team reached the semi final in Captain Kant Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament held at NOIDA stadium.

*Our School Football Team participated in the CBSE Cluster III UP State Tournament. After beating local schools they reached the inter-zonal final played at Meerut.

*Dist. Basket Ball Tournament was held at Noida Stadium for under 16 boys. Our team reached the third round.
*Deep Memorial Inter School Basket Ball Tournament was held at Ghaziabad. Our team reached the Quater finals.
*Four teams have been selected to represent the District Basket Ball Team.

CRICKET TOURNAMENTC.S.N. students won the Father Agnel School Cricket Tournament (under13). C.S.N. students won the match defeating D.P.S Noida by 4 wickets. Devinder Kumar scored 70 runs while Nikhil Bhatt took 3wickets.C.S.N defeated Bhai Parmanand Cricket Academy in the match. Amir Khan took 5 wickets.The team was also declared runners –up in the Shashi Kant Memorial Cricket Tournament.
