The film opened up with over 1,000 prints, the highest ever until that time, and went on to be a hit, giving a new lease of life to Pavan Kalyan's career. His future film titled "Varudu" with Mahesh Babu, produced by Manjula, went on the floors at the end of April 2008, and is expected to release in early 2009. Trivikram married the iconic Sirivennela Seetha Rama Sastry's younger brother's daughter.
