Battlefield Mall

Battlefield Mall, located in Springfield, Missouri, is the largest shopping mall in the area. [ [http://www.simon.com/mall/mall_info.aspx?ID=174 Battlefield Mall info] ] Overall, the mall comprises more than 150 tenants, including JCPenney, Macy's, Sears and two Dillard's locations as anchor stores. Major updates to the mall occurred in 2002. The mall is owned by Simon Property Group.

The mall's name is derived from the fact that it is located at the corner of Glenstone and Battlefield Road, a major thoroughfare in Springfield. The street name is, in turn, taken from the city of Battlefield, Missouri, which is named in honor of Battle of Wilson's Creek, a famous American Civil War battle that took place near the area.
