USCGC Bollard (WYTL-65614)

USCGC "Bollard" (WYTL-65614) is a cutter in the US Coast Guard.

"Bollard" operates in Long Island Sound and north to Narragansett Bay. Her home port is New Haven, Connecticut. She was built in the early 1960s and is 65'11.5" long. As an icebreaking tug, the ship breaks ice on the Connecticut River in the winter to allow commercial traffic to pass. In summer, "Bollard" serves many missions including AtoN, SAR and Law Enforcement. Year round, "Bollard" and her crew conduct search and rescue operations as necessary. Her home port is at 120 Woodward Ave., New Haven, CT 06512. As of May 9, 2008, her Officer in Charge is BMC Phil Kibby.
