USCGC "Bollard" (WYTL-65614) is a cutter in the US Coast Guard.
"Bollard" operates in
Long Island Sound and north toNarragansett Bay . Her home port isNew Haven ,Connecticut . She was built in the early 1960s and is 65'11.5" long. As an icebreaking tug, the ship breaks ice on theConnecticut River in the winter to allow commercial traffic to pass. In summer, "Bollard" serves many missions including AtoN, SAR and Law Enforcement. Year round, "Bollard" and her crew conduct search and rescue operations as necessary.
