business intelligence market. It was formed by the acquisition of Holistic Systems (ofHolos ) andCrystal Services (ofCrystal Reports ).Following the sale of NSMG to VERITAS, the company rebranded the remaining company (The former IMG group) as Crystal Decisions on
5 March 2001 [http://www.businessobjects.com/news/presscd/2001/030501.asp] . The name was chosen after more respondents in a survey identified "Crystal Decisions" as the manufacturer ofCrystal Reports rather than the then correct "Seagate Software".
