Conner Software (the software division ofConner Peripherals ) ofLake Mary, Florida , andAstora Software , formerlyQuest Development Corporation , ofSan Luis Obispo, California .Conner Software owned the
Backup Exec brand ofbackup software, while Quest owned the source code behindSymantec Corporation ’sNorton Backup for the DOS, Windows and Macintosh computing platforms of the time. In 1995, Arcada acquired theSytron division ofRexon to become a leader in the OS/2 market as well.Arcada’s sales revenues grew exponentially over its two year lifespan and was acquired by
