La Cambe German war cemetery is in La Cambe, Calvados, France. Buried here are German soldiers killed during the Normandy invasion.WWII Battlefields web site] The cemetery was finished in 1961 and inaugurated in September of that year. Since then, more than 700 soldiers have been found on the battlefield and buried here. The cemetery is administered by the German War Graves Commission, the "Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge".
