Geedam is a census town in Dantewada district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It is situated in national highway number 16, about 75 kilometers from Jagdalpur.

Economy

Geedam is one of an important local market place for forest products. Tribal living in nearby jungle and villages bring forest products like mahua (used for making country beer), tora (used for making fuel oil), chironji, silk insect, dried mangoes. Tribals sell these things to local vendors. These markets are not only place for selling and buying forest products but also for green vegetable, fruits, local beer, clothes, fish and meat. Most of the vegetables sold in the market is locally grown.
