John Shelby Bryan (born March 12, 1946) is an American communications executive, also known for his affair with
Anna Wintour , editor of Vogue magazine.A direct descendant of
Stephen F. Austin , theTexas -born millionaire attended college at theUniversity of Texas , and became aGolden Gloves boxer. He soon began working withRalph Nader , then studied atHarvard Business School . From here he began working atMorgan Stanley .In 1985 Bryan built up
Millicom , which was one of the first twocellular phone companies in existence. In 1994 Shelby Bryan becameCEO ofICG Communications . In 1996 Bryan became one ofBill Clinton 's chief fund raisers and supporters. In 1999 Bryan was named to Clinton's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.In 2000 Bryan's ICG empire crumbled. Bryan and his first wife, Lucia, have two daughters, Ashley and Alexis. After divorcing Lucia he married his second wife Katherine and had two sons, Austin and Jack. Bryan's affair with
