He started out in the hip-hop scene in 1993. He began a friendship with an old schoolmate Champtown after a chance run-in at a Death Row Records show at Club VIP International in 1994. Hush and Champtown went to Kellwood Adult Education together in the early nineties. After countless attempts to rise in the scene with partner Ill, Champtown was at a stall, so Hush and Ill formed a group called Da Ruckus which was a name revived from an earlier group Hush formed with a friend named Nacho. Da Ruckus was signed to Federation Records after success of their iindependent release called "Quiet As Kept". The 2 went on to release "Episode 1" which garnered the attention nationally, and was given place in's Top Ten Independent albums in 1997. It featured a then unknown Eminem on the classic "We Shine" and it also featured the Detroit classic "150 MC's".

Hush is a longtime collborator with Kid Rock protege Paradime and D12, and has also appeared on tracks with Slum Village and Royce Da 5'9".

In the spring of 2005, Hush released his debut single "Hush Is Coming" which featured Nate Dogg on the chorus and appearances by Eminem, Obie Trice and D12's Swifty McVay in the video.

Hush released his debut album "Bulletproof" off Geffen Records in the summer of 2005. It featured a list of star guest appearances including Eminem, D12's Kuniva & Swifty McVay, Nate Dogg, Talib Kweli and Bizarre.

After the release he promoted the album by joining the Anger Management III Tour, with fellow rap musicians Eminem, Stat Quo, 50 Cent, D12, Bizarre, Obie Trice, G-Unit, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Bobby Creekwater, Mase, Mobb Deep, Pitbull and Olivia, among others.

The Future (2007 - 2008)
