Bangarmau is a city and a municipal board in Unnao district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Geography

Bangarmau is located at coord|26.9|N|80.22|E|. [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/36/Bangarmau.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Bangarmau] ] It has an average elevation of 122 metres (400 feet).

History

Early in 1920's there were two main families of Bangarmau: the Chowdhury's, Syed's and the Garg's and washermen

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, [GR|India] Bangarmau had a population of 31,626. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Bangarmau has an average literacy rate of 99%, higher than the national average of 59%; with 99% of the males and 99% of females literate. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
