Azmatgarh was originated by Azmat shah-the brother of Azam shah.Both the brothers were originally hindus(baniyas) but there forefathers were forcibly converted to accept Islam by the then mugal rulers. Azmatgarh still has the reins of palaces, the separate swimming pools for king and queens(bauli) and the reins of temples of that era. Azmatgarh has the biggest lake(taal saloni) in that region. The lake was supposed to be declared as an official tourism spot, but no official confirmation has being done yet to that by the concerned authorities.
