metre s (144 feet).Asarganj is situated at 12 KM south from the railway station,Sultanganj.There is a very famous and a month-long festival "BOL-BUM" runs during the month of Saawan (august-september).After taking water from Ganges river of Sultanganj (the famous name here is UttarWahini Ganga),the pilgrims,bare footed travel 105 km,by this route, go to Deoghar (BABA DHAAM) to pour Gangajal on Lord Shiva (ShivLinga).Hence in the Saawan month whole Asarganj dazzles with lights and happiness.
