Notable_instruments =Scared Of The Girls is an American male Pop/Latin singing and musical band.
The group was born when lead vocalist Skott Francis, a European singer based in the USA was selected in late 2005 by producer
Stephen Stone from Ruffhouse Entertainment) to participate to his new international reality-drama TV series30 Days Til I'm Famous , still to be broadcast. The docu-soap reality-show, which shot in Costa Rica in 2006 in both English and Spanish, follows the journey of three musical groups as they seek to achieve superstardom. When the show was originally cast, producer Stephen Stone cast Los Angeles rock group Scared Of Girls (without the "the"), led by charismatic frontman Toggo. Stone had the band write songs and prepare for the show for almost 12 months. At that point, with no interest from American TV networks, it was decided that the show needed to take a 180 degree turn towards the latin market. Since Scared Of Girls very much was a rock group, they were written out of the show and replaced by Skott Francis, who was commissioned to put together a new, latin-flavored group for the show.
Since Scared Of Girls was already written into the script, Stone decided to stick with the name, with one addition; he re-named the band Scared Of THE Girls, to avoid any legal issues with the original Scared Of Girls.
New frontman Skott Francis recruited 4 musicians for the new group: Pete Lesperance, Erik Lindbom, Mark Vento and Oscar Preciado.
The show was intended to air on primetime US television in winter 2006, but has yet to see interest from US networks.
