The Blessings is a challenging, 18 hole golf course in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Its creation was funded by former Tyson Foods CEO, John Tyson. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones II and opened June 2004. The Blessings at Clear Creek and is one of the toughest golf courses in the US (based on USGA Slope and Rating [http://www.usga.org/playing/handicaps/course_ratings/course_rating_results.asp?coid=THE+BLESSINGS+AT+CLEAR+CREEK&coname=BLESSINGS+AT+CLEAR+CREEK&cocity=JOHNSON&costate=AR&MW=M] ) but the challenge of the course is only equaled by the raw beauty of the layout.
It is a private club with a unique, modern clubhouse designed by renowned architect Marlon Blackwell [http://www.marlonblackwell.com/] . The clubhouse is outfitted with natural, organic design features including local stone and imported, exotic woods used throughout the interior.
The Blessings is home to the University of Arkansas Razorback golf teams [http://hogwired.com/] . The membership and the Razorbacks enjoy the Fred and Mary Smith practice facility [http://www.ladybacks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=2300&ATCLID=68777] , located on the grounds of The Blessings. It is home to six indoor-outdoor practice bays, an indoor video swing analysis station, office space and fully furnished men and women’s locker room facilities for the Razorbacks.
