Football career

Lazetić started playing competitive football at the age of 15 for his hometwon team FK Trepča.

Immediately spoted as a talented youngster he moved on to bigger teams and cities throughout Serbia such as Valjevo's FK Budućnost then played for Vojvodina and Obilić.

Lazetić went to Turkey's Fenerbahçe in June 2000 for DM6 million. In the first season, he made regular appearances in the first team, but he just made 16 appearances in the second season. He played his last match on 17 March 2002 against Malatyaspor.

Lazetić was signed by Como in summer 2002 on a free transfer.[1] However, he was loaned to Chievo and made his Serie A debut on 29 September 2003 against Internazionale.[2] In January 2003, he was loaned to S.S. Lazio.[3]

In the summer of 2003, he was signed by Genoa, but was immediately loaned to AC Siena. Lazetić returned to Genoa in the summer of 2004, where he played his first ever Serie B season.

He helped the club to win the Serie B Champions, but Genoa's involvement in the Serie A scandal saw Genoa stripped of the title and relegated to Serie C1.

On 30 August 2005, he was sold to Livorno. But on 11 January 2006, he was signed by Torino FC, which he helped the club to win promotion to Serie A again.

In 2008, he returned to his first club, Red Star Belgrade, where he captained the team for two years, and won two cups with them: Chicago Sister Cities Cup and Serbian Cup.

As of season 2010-11, Lazetić is in his second spell at Vojvodina.
