shoot 'em up arcade game released byUPL in 1986.tory
In the 21st century, a blast of cosmic radiation bombarded Terra-12, a deep-space outpost of Earth, hideously mutating all transplanted life. A fleet of savage beings followed the radiation wave and invaded the planet, and began the systematic destruction of all remaining sentient life. Years of battling the alien 'governors' have gone by, and now only one hope survives to avenge the desperate terran colonists.
Gameplay
The player controls a robot which hovers around and obtain weapons throughout different side scroller stages. The bosses at the end of each stage are generally too large to be covered in a single screen.
Home Ports
The game was ported to many systems. Though the
TurboGrafx-16 version would be called "Atomic Robo-Kid Special" since it came closest to the arcade version, adapting arcade elements with just slight rearrangements.A demo was distributed of the ZX Spectrum version [http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseek.cgi?regexp=^YS+issue+64%3a+Magnificent+Seven+1$&pub=^Your+Sinclair$] before it was cancelled.
