Ben Taub General Hospital is a hospital in Houston, Texas.

Ben Taub was opened in May 1963 and is located in the Texas Medical Center. It is owned and operated by the Harris County Hospital District and is staffed by the faculty and students from Baylor College of Medicine.

Ben Taub is a Level I trauma center, one of only three in the Houston - Galveston area (the others being Memorial Hermann Hospital and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston). At 650 licensed beds, it is one of the busiest trauma centers in the United States, caring for over 108,000 emergency patients each year. Ben Taub also has the distinction of being the only hospital in the Medical Center with a psychiatric emergency room open 24 hours a day.

The hospital was named after Ben Taub (1889-1982), a real estate developer and businessman whose extensive behind-the-scenes philanthropic efforts helped transform Houston.
