Sangita Myska is a British television presenter and
journalist , currently with theBBC . She is a regular news correspondent across all ofBBC News output, as well as presenting regular relief shifts on the rolling news channel BBC News. Myska was nominated for the European Journalist of the Year award in 2007 [ [http://www.ev50.com/noflash/european.asp?id=9 Europeans of the year nominations] (EV50) ]After graduating in journalism, she worked for a couple of months on an industrial health and safety magazine. She said of the experience: "The Editor was bonkers and I was paid less than it cost me to get into work. That said, I learnt that persistence pays off essentially and pig swill can be dangerous." Myska's career in television began when she won a BBC Talent competition. She joined
BBC Radio Five Live as a correspondent and presenter, before moving toBBC Scotland again as a correspondent. She then joinedBBC News in 1999, initially as a correspondent and then producer.In 2002 Myska became a correspondent again, now working on the national news bulletins on
BBC One . Then in February 2003 she became an anchor forBBC Three 'sThe 7 O'Clock News from its launch, before returning to the BBC's main bulletins as a correspondent in March 2004. She was due to join "Five News" as part of a new team of reporters and presenters for its relaunch in January 2005 [ [http://www.five.tv/aboutfive/press/pressreleases/20041118_newslineup/ New Five News Presenters] ] , however this move never materialised, with no explanation given to the public. She has instead remained at the BBC as a News Correspondent for the national news bulletins and the BBC News channel.Myska has also worked as current affairs presenter on "Real Story" with
