Paris Métro , named after the Rue Saint-Ambroise and the Saint-Ambroise (St Ambrose) church. St Ambrose (340-394), together withAugustine of Hippo ,Jerome , andGregory I , is counted as one of the four doctors of the West of ancient church history.This station is the Boulevard Voltaire. The Saint-Ambroise church was rebuilt in the 1860s during Haussmann's modernisation of the district.
