Paris Métro , named after the "Avenue Ledru-Rollin". The street is named after the lawyerAlexandre Auguste Ledru-Rollin (1807-1874) who was elected as radical député in 1841 and founded the newspaper "La Réforme". He was a convinced republican was appointed "Minister of the Interior" in 1848 and organised the introduction ofuniversal suffrage . Following Napoleon III's election as President and the riots of 1849, he took refuge in England.Places of interest
