Osceola has recently become one of the top rated high schools in Pinellas County for performing arts. The school auditorium was originally built to house the Pinellas County Center for the Arts which ultimately would be housed at Gibbs High School, and as such is one of the largest and better equipped auditoriums of Pinellas County High Schools, featuring such accommodations as sound-dampening paneling and a computer controlled lighting array.

History
The school is named for Osceola, war chief of the Seminole Indians in Florida. Osceola led a small band of warriors (never more than 100) in the Seminole resistance during the Second Seminole War when the United States tried to remove the Seminoles from their lands. He exercised a great deal of influence on Micanopy, the highest ranking chief of the Seminoles.
Extra Curricular Activities
Extra curricular activities include Student Government Association, Guitar, Interact Club, National Honor Society, Prep Club, Anime Club, Spanish Club, The Oracle, FFEA Florida Future Educators of America, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Warriors Against Crime, PMAC Principal's Multicultural Advisory Committee, Internation Thespian Society, Drama Club, Students Rights and Responsibilities, WVTV, Keyboard, Debate Team, and Academic Team.
Athletics
Athletics include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, flag football (girls), football, golf, soccer, softball, spring football, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball (girls), and wrestling.

2009 Baseball went undefeated in districts, and advanced to the Regional Semifinals before losing. 2009 Girl's soccer beat crostown rivals Seminole 2-1 to win district title.
