The 2006-2007 concert choir went to Washington DC last year, and this year has made it to the state championships once again, as it did last year. There are three choirs at West - the Chorale - made up mostly of freshmen and sophomores - the Titan Choir (intermediate), and Concert Choir, the most advanced. There are also two jazz ensembles - Rhythm Express is the beginning jazz group, and Soundscape is the most advanced. Soundscape took a trip to Idaho for the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow this past February. The West Salem Chorale department is growing more and more every year with nearly one hundred passionate singers in Concert Choir alone. The program is developing a fantastic reputation and is challenging itself to succeed by keeping one phrase in mind "What we can do together, none of us can do alone!"
The 2007-2008 Concert Choir qualified for the State Choir competition that took place on May 2, 2008, at George Fox University. They placed 5th within the State of Oregon.

The opening year TNT was mostly run student Tom Murphy, with the assistance of the teacher at that time Gahr Willoughby. Tom Murphy help drive the phrase for TNT "TNT...Its Dynamite, using the hit song from ACDC TNT as the main theme song for much of that first year. In 2003 at the start of the second school year teacher Grant Huhn took charge with the addition of Sophomore Christopher Ziegenhagel who began working with Tom Murphy on editing and producing the shows which aired daily. Chris Ziegenhagel later into that year soon became the main driving force of TNT, working on TNT until he graduated in 2006. Chris Ziegenhagel was the one that pushed for TNT to become a weekly project, instead of the daily project it was, in order to put together better and more entertaining episodes, In Farwell TNT came out with the unforgettable TNT Finale Which Aired June 6th, 2006. The TNT Finale Included then Co-Anchor Brandon Miletta, who had been working on visual effects for much of his life. The two teamed together to create an unbelievable and memorable Finale, I fight to the death, with light sabers. The Finale coined the Phrase "One Anchor...Will Fall". The TNT Finale can still be viewed to this day on Youtube.com ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=SceOMvov_rQ ) as well as several other older TNT shows.
