"Career Moves" is a 1993 live album by Loudon Wainwright III - his first since 1980's A Live One, which itself compiled mid 70's live recordings.

In other words it is a compilation of Wainwright's songs, mostly from the 80's, but with a generous fistful of new tracks. Allmusic awards it 4.5 out of 5 stars, and it probably remains as representative an introduction to Wainwright's work and styles as anything he's recorded before or since.

It also has the virtue of including the important 'April Fool's Day Morn', originally from Fame and Wealth, which was inexplicably left off the compilation '1983-86', as well as 'Thanksgiving' from the otherwise uncompiled 'Therapy'.
