Note that the Slovenian Air Force only consists of utility helicopters, cargo aircraft, and trainer aircraft. Slovenia pays about 60 million Euros a year to the Italian Air Force for defending Slovenian airspace. Montenegro does not plan to retain an air force due to lack of funds and interest, it will most likely pay another nation to protect its air space.

FRY Air Force in popular culture

One Aérospatiale Gazelle with SFRY Air Force markings was in a Coca-Cola animated commercial which was a parody of the Grand Theft Auto game series. At the very end of the commercial a helicopter is seen passing over the screen with troops jumping out. The helicopter has a very clear SFR Yugoslav roundel on its side, and even the Flag of Yugoslavia painted across the tail.
