Scott A. Mayer

Scott A. Mayer, President and CEO of QPS Companies, Inc. (QPS), founded the firm in 1985 in his parents’ basement with only $5,000.

Under Scott’s leadership, QPS has grown from one office and two employees to 20 offices in Wisconsin and Illinois with a staff of over 200 internal employees. QPS works with more than 4,000 associate (temporary) employees on a weekly basis.

QPS is the largest independently owned staffing firm in the state of Wisconsin.

Scott’s other passion is racing. He is a driver for General Motors/Eddie Cheever Racing in the Rolex Sports Car Series. He ran in the 24 Hours of Daytona in January 2008. Scott raced in the Indy Racing League from 2002 to 2005.

Scott is past President of the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services (WASS) and is currently Chairman of the American Staffing Association's (ASA) sub-committee on Immigration Reform. He is also on the Board of Regents for Wisconsin Lutheran College.

Scott is active in his church and has helped build the Grace Church in downtown Milwaukee. He currently serves on the Committee of Evangelism.

Scott is married and has two children.

Scott Mayer (born August 31, 1964 in Franklin, Wisconsin) is a former driver in the Indy Racing League. He raced in the 2003 season with 3 career starts for PDM Racing, crashing out of all 3. He finished the season in a tie for 30th position in the IRL season standings. He failed to qualify for the 2003 Indianapolis 500. He attempted to qualify for the 2005 Indianapolis 500 for A.J. Foyt Enterprises but failed rookie orientation and was replaced by Felipe Giaffone.
