Kristian Gravenor

Kristian Gravenor is a Montreal news reporter and city columnist who has written over a thousand articles about the city for a variety of magazines and newspapers, starting with a column in the Westmount Examiner which he wrote at age 16. He has since written a variety of news stories for magazines ranging from Canadian Business to Saturday Night. He spent several years writing news and city columns for the Montreal Mirror where his articles shed light on often sensational yet little-known stories about Montreal, including the reputed Montreal demises of Veronica Lake and Maurice Duplessis, [http://www.montrealmirror.com/ARCHIVES/2001/051701/news7.html] the trial of three women accused of beating rock star Serge Fiori [http://www.montrealmirror.com/ARCHIVES/1999/012899/cover.html] and the ongoing tragedy of the Duplessis Orphans. He has also written extensively about Azerbaijan, a country he has visited and studied.

Gravenor has a BA from McGill University and an MA from Concordia University where he specialized in studying the rise of fascism in Europe. He is the son of Colin Gravenor and Patricia Roberts.
