Jerome Lane (born
December 4 1966 , inAkron, Ohio ) is a retired American professionalbasketball player. Lane attended Akron Saint Vincent-Saint Mary High School. He played collegiately at theUniversity of Pittsburgh , where he led theBig East Conference in rebounding during the 1986-87 and the 1987-88 regular seasons. He led the nation in rebounding during the 1986-87 season. He left school after his junior season and was selected in the first round of the1988 NBA Draft by theDenver Nuggets with the 23rd pick overall. Lane played in theNBA for five seasons with the Nuggets,Indiana Pacers ,Milwaukee Bucks andCleveland Cavaliers .Playing Style

January 25 ,1988 in a game against Providence, Lane broke the glass backboard with a one-handed dunk shot withSean Miller assisting on the play.
