Willowbrook Shopping Centre

Willowbrook Shopping Centre

Willowbrook Shopping Centre (sometimes referred to as Willowbrook Mall) is a shopping mall located in Langley Township, British Columbia, on Fraser Highway near the Langley Bypass. It is directly across from the city limits of both Surrey and Langley City.

Willowbrook is Langley's largest shopping centre, with 150 stores and services. Its anchor stores are The Bay, Sears, Zellers, Toys 'R' Us and Sport Chek.

History

The mall opened in 1979 and has since undergone four expansions. In 1999, Willowbrook underwent a major renovation and expansion, including a new convert|22000|sqft|m2 wing, with anchor stores such as Sport Chek. New interior and exterior signage, including a new logo, accompanied the other changes. Today, Willowbrook Shopping Centre is a regional centre with over convert|640000|sqft|m2.

Transportation

The mall can be accessed via the Fraser Highway as well as the Langley Bypass. Both of these roads are major east-west corridors of the Greater Vancouver area.

In addition, all buses in Langley pass by the mall at some point. These routes run from Langley City, southern Langley or Aldergrove to Surrey Central Station of the SkyTrain system. One Surrey route also services Willowbrook, but on a limited basis.
