Holy Days

Holy Days

The term Holy Days formerly held by the Worldwide Church of God under Herbert W. Armstrong refers to the seven annual Sabbaths as prescribed in the Pentateuch of either the Torah or Old Testament in [http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Leviticus%2023;&version=50; Leviticus 23] or [http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy%2016;&version=50; Deuteronomy 16] .

This term does not refer to the holidays observed by modern Christians, such as Christmas, Easter, and Halloween, but rather those days that are defined as Holy by the Bible itself, including:
* Passover
* The Days of Unleavened Bread
* Pentecost
* The Day of Atonement
* The Feast of Trumpets
* The Feast of Tabernacles
* and The Last Great Day

Various splinter groups formed after the the death of Armstrong and the breakup of the Worldwide Church of God continue to observe these Holy Days.
