Written by Gabrielle, Ollie Dagois, Ferdy Unger-Hamilton and
Bob Dylan and produced by Johnny Dollar, the song reached number one on theUK singles chart for two weeks in January2000 ."Rise" is notable for a rare authorised use of a Bob Dylan sample. It takes extensively from his 1973 song "
Knockin' on Heaven's Door " and Dylan liked the song so much that he allowed Gabrielle to use the sample for free.Fact|date=November 2007Charts
"Rise" was a number one single in Ireland. However, the single was far less successful in Australia, where it peaked at number 44.
