Career

Gray founded Freedom Motorsports Group Inc. in 1999.

Dianetics Racing

Gray, a Scientologist, credits Hubbard's teachings for his success in racing:

He founded the team in the 2001 season, driving a Ford Taurus, #27, with a volcano pictured on its hood (the volcano being a favored symbol of L. Gray drove a legends car in 2004 and 2005 at Irwindale Speedway.

He also started testing a Super Late Model car to prepare for the Dodge Weekly Series. He began competing in the Dodge Weekly Series in 2006.
