Parry attended
Wells Cathedral School as a boarder between 1978 and 1987. After finishing at Wells, Parry was commissioned as aRoyal Marine s officer at the age of 18. Soon after training, he became their youngest ever physical training and sports officer and his five year career culminated in the prestigious appointment as the officer in charge of all physical aspects ofBritish Commando training. He left the Marines in 1993 and went on to become an expedition leader forTrekforce , [http://www.trekforceworldwide.com] before obtaining a job as a location manager for popmusic video s. Parry eventually founded his own company,Endeavour Productions .Television career
Parry first appeared on television as an expert on desert survival in an episode of "
Danger! 50,000 Volts! " in 2002. This same year he also appeared on "Extreme Lives ", and "Serious Jungle " onCBBC , the BBC channel for children. He followed this the following year with "Serious Desert ", and then "Serious Arctic ", and "Serious Amazon ".In "Tribe", he lived as a family member with a number of
tribe s in remote locales such asEthiopia ,Venezuela ,Gabon , TheHimalayas ,Mongolia ,Siberia andWest Papua , sleeping, working and eating with them. The success of the series allowed it to be produced for three series.He has also made appearances as a guest on "
