Ahwatukee, Arizona . It has a circulation of 28,000. First published as the "Ahwatukee Sentinnal" in1976 , its name was changed to the "Ahwatukee News" in1978 . In1988 it once again changed its name, this time to the "Ahwatukee Weekly News". The current incarnation is the "Ahwatukee Foothill News". The newsroom and advertising staff also puts out sister papers, the "Ocotillo Tribune" (weekly) and the "Maricope Tribune" (every other week).

Five current and former staffers won awards at the 2007 Arizona Press Club banquet: Brant Clinard, a photographer, won seven awards, including two first places; Jason Ludwig took home first- and third-place awards for reporting; U. Frank Williams, the former photo editor, took home a second place award; Brett Fera, sports editor, won first place for sports reporting; and Ryan Casey, staff writer, won second- and third-place awards for sports reporting. The paper celebrated its 30th year starting in early 2008. Since then, it has been running stories commemorating the anniversary.
